Emma YogaBellies

Yoga classes for women in Bangor, Ards & Ballyclare.

"Emma’s baby yoga class is a highlight of our week. Emma is fantastic and creates such a calm and welcoming environment. The gentle stretches and movements are perfect for bonding with your baby, as well as easing tension in the postpartum body (whilst being mindful of the pelvic floor). It’s a great way to meet other Mum’s and share experiences. Great for the body and the mind! I highly recommend giving it a try!"

About

Hello,

I'm Emma or as lots of know me, Emma YogaBellies

I am mummy to two special girls, Lily 5 and Maggie [18 months]. I love being a mum and am so proud of my girls but would love a little bit more sleep (living in hope).

When I'm not being mummy, I'm teaching yoga.

Emma YogaBellies was born alongside my first baby. I haven’t known motherhood without it. I trained in Glasgow with YogaBellies with baby Lily and my husband Craig in tow when she was just 6 weeks and then again 12 weeks old. Completing my training throughout those early weeks and months whenever I got a chance, launching my classes when Lily was just 5 months old. It was a lot and maybe not something I would recommend but at the same time it was the best thing I have ever done!

I've been practicing yoga for around 15 years and now teaching for 4. I fell in love with yoga a long time ago and love that I now get to share that with my women who come along to class, lots of them never having stepped on a yoga mat before.

Plus, yoga brings me a lot of joy and a really special feeling that is hard to put into words. Making me feel grounded, strong and alive!

My classes are for all women, at whatever stage you are at. It's a chance to connect with yourself, bringing a special level of awareness into your body and connection with your breath.

Classes are relaxed and fun, I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore yogi but someone who just loves yoga and how it makes me feel. I love that I get to share that through my classes. The only part I take very seriously is the savasana, because we always need a wee lie down and a nap!

Running my business over the last lots of years has led me to meet hundreds of women and beautiful babies. It really is a little community now and I am very proud of the connections and friendships that have formed through my classes. Yoga is just a small part of it and I am so lucky to have met so many special women, lots of them now my friends.

Aimee, Pregnancy Yoga

"I signed up for Emma’s YogaBellies Pregnancy class and absolutely loved it! It’s a great way to gently move your body and learn how to connect with your baby. Emma is so calming and reassuring about the entire pregnancy & Birth prosess.

Throughout the classes she will provide you with lots of really helpful breathing exercises, all of which I used in labour and found really very helpful. It’s also a lovely place to meet lots of new expecting mothers all experiencing the same things as you. I would highly recommend these classes for any pregnant woman out there!"

Jan, Women's & Pregnancy Yoga

"I have been to two different classes of Emma’s. Initially her women’s class and then her pregnancy class. Both are excellent in their own way! The women’s class varies from week to week giving both a workout and a sense of relaxation! Those Monday nights in the winter when it was cold and dark and I went into the nice cosy room with fairy lights was the highlight of my Monday for sure. I then moved to the pregnancy class and found a real sense of community with the other women in the class. Being able to share experiences every week was so helpful throughout my pregnancy. Would recommend both of Emma’s classes and am looking forward to attending her baby yoga class too!"
